Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026Sidemesh is designed so your data stays with you. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected.
What we collect
Sidemesh does not operate a central cloud service and does not collect personal data on our servers. The app stores the following locally on your device:
- Host profiles — addresses and tokens for hosts you choose to pair with.
- Session content — chat transcripts, file listings, and terminal output retrieved from your own hosts.
- Preferences — theme, typography, and notification settings.
How it is stored
Host tokens and sensitive credentials are stored in the platform keychain (iOS Keychain / macOS Keychain / Android Keystore). Other app data is stored in local encrypted databases and preferences. Nothing is transmitted to Sidemesh-owned infrastructure.
Network access
The app connects only to hosts you explicitly pair with. All communication happens directly between your device and your own machines over your network (private LAN, Tailscale, or another secure route you control). We do not proxy, inspect, or log this traffic.
Analytics and tracking
Sidemesh does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. Crash reports may be collected through platform-native mechanisms if you have opted into them at the operating-system level.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the data practices change materially. The updated date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision.
